What is the Secret Sisters Society?
The Secret Sisters Society is a special opportunity to sponsor women and save lives. Early detection is the key to surviving cancer and we believe everyone should have the opportunity for screening tests. Since March 2003, more than 4,000 mammograms have been scheduled through the Secret Sisters Society fund. In 2011, the Women’s Task Force expanded the purpose of the fund to include cervical cancer screenings. Today, the Secret Sisters Society fund provides underserved women ages 40-49 a screening mammograms and cervical cancer screenings. These women qualify for the existing Breast & Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP) due to income but would not receive these screenings until they reach the age of 50. The Women’s Task Force believes these younger women should have access to life-saving cancer screenings before then.
By donating $50 or more to become a Secret Sisters Society member, you can help underserved women get a mammogram or a cervical cancer screening. You might save a life.
